RAD Torque Systems is Expanding to a Bigger Facility

ABBOTSFORD, B.C. (February 5, 2020) – Leading Canadian manufacturer of pneumatic, batter-powered and electronic pistol grip torque wrenches, RAD Torque Systems, has purchased a new 60,000 square foot building in Abbotsford, BC. The company hopes to open the new state-of-the-art facility in late 2020.

The new building will allow RAD Torque Systems to maintain its roots here in the city where the company started and has grown to become a well-respected international torque wrench manufacturer.

“We’re going to stay building in Canada, we’re proud Canadians,” says Dan Provost, President of RAD Torque Systems. “Everything is manufactured here and that’s not going to change. We’ve expanded our facility, we’re going to hire more Canadian’s and keep our business in Abbotsford and make our country proud.”

With 60,000 square feet worth of space, the new facility is 1.6x bigger than their current location. The extra space will allow for all employees to operate under one roof. It will also allow for RAD to meet with potential clients, customers and distributors in one central area.

“What this facility means to us is that we have much more space for our equipment, which means we can create more product faster,” said Pat McFadden, Vice President of Operations. “It’s going to help us with our lead times for everybody, so that they’re going to get their product faster.”

Provost started the company over 25 years ago out of his garage. “The popularity of the RAD product just grew so much in the last couple of years,” says Provost. “Working out of my garage, I was proud of the product, I knew I had something good on my hands, but I never expected the presence I have in the market now.”
