ABBOTSFORD, British Columbia — RAD Torque Systems has expanded its award-winning B-RAD Xtreme™ (B-RAD X™) platform, creating the company’s most comprehensive lineup of cordless industrial torque wrenches to date. The expanded series now includes seven torque ranges, nine model configurations and a torque capacity from 50 to 11,000 ft-lb (70–15,000 Nm), giving industrial professionals a single cordless platform for every bolting application. 

 Originally introduced in June 2023, the B-RAD X platform was developed to deliver the speed, precision and durability required for heavy duty industrial bolting applications. The platform quickly earned international recognition for its innovation and performance, receiving both the 2024 Bronze Edison Award in Commercial Technology: Engineering & Manufacturing Tools and the 2024 Pro Tool Innovation Award for Auto & Metal – Wrenches. 

The expanded B-RAD X lineup builds on that success by adding new lower torque models, allowing customers to standardize on one proven cordless platform across an even broader range of applications.

The latest additions to the B-RAD Xtreme Series extend the platform into lower torque applications where speed, accessibility and efficiency are critical. Compared to the popular B-RAD Select Series, the new models deliver significantly faster torque cycles while maintaining RAD’s proven industrial performance. 

New models include: 

• B-RAD X 500 / 700-M
  Torque range: 50–500 ft-lb (70–700 Nm)
  Speed: 27.6 RPM — 27% faster than B-RAD Select 

• B-RAD X 1000 / 1400-M
  Torque range: 100–1,000 ft-lb (140–1,400 Nm)
  Speed: 14.5 RPM — 37% faster than B-RAD Select 

• B-RAD X 1500 / 2000-M
  Torque range: 150–1,500 ft-lb (200–2,000 Nm)
  Speed: 9.3 RPM — 55% faster than B-RAD Select 

With these additions, the B-RAD X Series now provides seven torque ranges from 500 to 11,000 ft-lb (700–15,000 Nm), allowing customers to select the right configuration for their application while maintaining the benefits of a single cordless platform. 

Built for Specialized Applications 

The B-RAD X platform also includes B-RAD X-C Shaft Retention configurations, designed for applications where standard torque wrenches cannot access the fastener location. 

Developed for industries such as mining and heavy equipment, the extended shaft design allows operators to reach bolts recessed between mining haul truck rim walls and other obstructed fastening locations. This specialized configuration expands the versatility of the B-RAD X for some of the industry’s most challenging bolting environments.
